Cherry Blossoms!!

This week the long awaited cherry blossoms finally bloomed. I have to admit they were as good as advertised. All through the week we have seen them blooming, but because of school we didn't really have time to go and see them. This weekend though, the weather was perfect and the cherry blossoms were still here, so we headed to Hiroshima. We went to Hiroshima Castle which is known for its beautiful cherry blossoms. We grabbed lunch and found a place to eat under some trees and spent the afternoon there. It might end up being one of my best memories in Japan. After taking some pictures and eating, a random group of Japanese people invited us to join their picnic complete with a small keg of beer, sake, and plenty of food. So of course we joined them for the next few hours. Overall the day was perfect and viewing the cherry blossoms was a once in a lifetime experience. In a few days the cherry blossoms will be gone, but we took plenty of pictures to remember them by. Love you all! Enjoy the pics.
